A classical dress watch where enamel still does the talking.
The Quai des Bergues Sapphire Blue L is Czapek at its most foundational: a return to the Maison’s 1845 origins, where proportion, symmetry and craft define the entire object. Since its revival in 2015, Czapek has focused on rebuilding traditional Swiss watchmaking through an independent lens rather than replicating heritage.
Its deep sapphire blue flinqué enamel dial, executed with the Ricochet® motif, is built through multiple stages of stamping, enamelling and kiln firing—each layer adding depth rather than decoration. The hand-wound SXH1 calibre inside continues this philosophy with a seven-day power reserve and classical symmetrical architecture finished to haute horlogerie standards.
We carry it for clients who want a true enamel dress watch—one that feels rooted in history, but executed with the discipline and clarity of a modern independent atelier.
A hand-wound calibre built on classical horology and modern precision.
The SXH1 is Czapek’s proprietary manually wound movement, developed with Chronode in Le Locle for the Quai des Bergues collection. Its twin-barrel architecture delivers approximately 7 days of power reserve at 21,600 vibrations per hour, arranged in a symmetrical layout rooted in traditional Swiss watchmaking.
An annular balance with variable inertia and Breguet overcoil ensures stability, while the skeletonised balance cock adds visual lightness. Finishing combines sandblasted surfaces with a modern interpretation of 19th-century “satiné frost” decoration.
Servicing is handled through Czapek in Geneva, with a typical turnaround of six to eight weeks and loan watches available if required.

A relationship, not a transaction.
Every watch we sell stays close to us. We organise servicing, source straps, and answer the telephone ourselves — for as long as the watch is yours, and the wrist after that.
When the time comes, we arrange the full service through Czapek and handle the shipping both ways.
Replacement straps and bracelets at cost, in any material the manufacture offers, fitted in person at the bench.
You speak to Jason — for a warranty question, a service interval, or simply a second opinion — for as long as you own the watch.
Hold it once. Turn it over.
A watch makes more sense in the hand than on a screen — particularly through the sapphire back. Book a viewing at 900 West Hastings St., Vancouver and we will put a loupe in your hand.
