NOMOS Glashütte is founded
Established shortly after German reunification, NOMOS Glashütte set out to build a modern watch manufacture rooted in the traditions of Saxon watchmaking while embracing a distinctly contemporary design philosophy.
The first in-house movement
The introduction of the Alpha calibre marked a defining milestone, bringing movement production in-house and laying the foundation for one of the industry’s most respected independent manufactures.
