Antarctique Passage de Drake Glacier Blue

In the case
The Czapek Antarctique Passage de Drake Glacier Blue pairs its signature "Stairway to Eternity" dial with an icy blue finish that shifts beautifully with the light. Powered by the in-house SXH5 micro-rotor calibre, it combines refined mechanical watchmaking with the versatility of an integrated sports watch. A sapphire case back reveals the movement in full, while an additional light blue rubber strap offers a more relaxed wearing option alongside the steel bracelet.

Why we carry it

A sports watch that rewards a closer look.

The Antarctique Passage de Drake is one of those rare watches that becomes more interesting the longer you live with it. Since its revival in 2015, Czapek has built its reputation through thoughtful design and uncompromising execution, creating watches that reveal their quality gradually rather than demanding attention.

The Glacier Blue "Stairway to Eternity" dial transforms constantly as light moves across its stamped architecture, while the in-house SXH5 micro-rotor calibre and integrated bracelet demonstrate the same attention to detail beneath the surface. Every element feels resolved, from the sculpted case to the finishing visible through the sapphire case back.

This is the watch we recommend to collectors who appreciate restraint over recognition—people who value exceptional craftsmanship, independent thinking and a sports watch that stands apart without needing to announce itself.

The movement · SXH5

A micro-rotor calibre designed to reward every glance.

The SXH5 is Czapek's first fully in-house automatic movement, developed from a blank sheet to reflect the brand's independent approach to modern watchmaking. An off-centre 22k gold micro-rotor reveals the movement's architecture beneath, while a single barrel provides a 60-hour power reserve.

A free-sprung balance with four adjustable gold inertia weights enables precise regulation, while seven skeletonised bridges showcase the gear train through a design inspired by 19th-century pocket watches. Traditional hand-finished anglage is paired with contemporary laser engraving, creating a movement that is every bit as compelling through the sapphire case back as it is technically accomplished.

Servicing is handled directly through our relationship with Czapek in Geneva. The movement returns to the manufacture for inspection and regulation, with a typical turnaround of six to eight weeks. Should you need it, we're happy to provide a loan watch while yours is away.

For the life of the watch

A relationship, not a transaction.

Every watch we sell stays close to us. We organise servicing, source straps, and answer the telephone ourselves — for as long as the watch is yours, and the wrist after that.

i.
Service, organised through us

When the time comes, we arrange the full service through Czapek and handle the shipping both ways.

ii.
Straps & bracelets, for life

Replacement straps and bracelets at cost, in any material the manufacture offers, fitted in person at the bench.

iii.
One person, not a call centre

You speak to Jason — for a warranty question, a service interval, or simply a second opinion — for as long as you own the watch.
