A choice we can defend in person.
U-Boat, founded in Lucca in 2000 by Italo Fontana on a family design lineage from the 1940s, builds large, Italian watches that openly want to be seen. A portion of our clients ask for that presence directly, and we carry the house so we can meet them honestly rather than talk them into something quieter on the wrist.
The Sommerso Bronzo Ceramic BZ is a dive watch of exuberant design, its naturally bronze case set with a rotatable ceramic-insert bezel and an additional 24-hour counter. Bronze warmth meets a hard ceramic ring and real diving credentials. A tool watch that refuses to look like one.
Hand-finished, made to be serviced.
Hand-assembled, regulated, and finished to the manufacture’s own standard.
Servicing is organised through us and the manufacture, and the watch comes back to your wrist — with a loaner in the meantime.

A relationship, not a transaction.
Every watch we sell stays close to us. We organise servicing, source straps, and answer the telephone ourselves — for as long as the watch is yours, and the wrist after that.
When the time comes, we arrange the full service through U-Boat, handle the shipping both ways, and put a loaner on your wrist while you wait.
Replacement straps and bracelets at cost, in any material the manufacture offers, fitted in person at the bench.
You speak to Jason — for a warranty question, a service interval, or simply a second opinion — for as long as you own the watch.
When your watch is at service we will put another independent on your wrist, so the wrist is never empty.
Hold it once. Turn it over.
A watch makes more sense in the hand than on a screen — particularly through the sapphire back. Book a viewing at 900 West Hastings St., Vancouver and we will put a loupe in your hand.
