A choice we can defend in person.
There is conviction in a watch that declares itself, and U-Boat builds it on purpose. Made in Lucca since 2000 on Italo Fontana's family heritage from the 1940s, the line is oversized, Italian and unapologetic. A portion of our clients want that, and we keep a few pieces so we can meet them honestly rather than talk them down.
The Sommerso Blue Metal carries a 46mm satin-finished steel case with a unidirectional bezel and blue Super-LumiNova hands and indexes for strong visibility, water resistant to 300 metres, on a smoothed steel-link bracelet built for comfort. Diving credentials and everyday wearability in one. U-Boat scale, finished for the surface.
Hand-finished, made to be serviced.
Hand-assembled, regulated, and finished to the manufacture’s own standard.
Servicing is organised through us and the manufacture, and the watch comes back to your wrist.

A relationship, not a transaction.
Every watch we sell stays close to us. We organise servicing, source straps, and answer the telephone ourselves — for as long as the watch is yours, and the wrist after that.
When the time comes, we arrange the full service through U-Boat and handle the shipping both ways.
Replacement straps and bracelets at cost, in any material the manufacture offers, fitted in person at the bench.
You speak to Jason — for a warranty question, a service interval, or simply a second opinion — for as long as you own the watch.
Hold it once. Turn it over.
A watch makes more sense in the hand than on a screen — particularly through the sapphire back. Book a viewing at 900 West Hastings St., Vancouver and we will put a loupe in your hand.
