U-Boat makes no concession to subtlety, and we value the clarity of that. From Lucca, since 2000, Italo Fontana has carried his family's 1940s designs into large, Italian, declarative watches. A portion of our clients want exactly that presence, and we carry the house to meet the wish honestly rather than offer a compromise.
The Sommerso/a is a 46mm stainless-steel pro-dive watch, water resistant to 300 metres, with a rotating bezel and a 24-hour counter on a steel case. The core of the Sommerso idea, stripped to its diving essentials. Real capability, worn at U-Boat's full size.

Hand-assembled, regulated, and finished to the manufacture’s own standard.
Servicing is organised through us and the manufacture, and the watch comes back to your wrist — with a loaner in the meantime.

Every watch we sell stays close to us. We organise servicing, source straps, and answer the telephone ourselves — for as long as the watch is yours, and the wrist after that.
When the time comes, we arrange the full service through U-Boat, handle the shipping both ways, and put a loaner on your wrist while you wait.
Replacement straps and bracelets at cost, in any material the manufacture offers, fitted in person at the bench.
You speak to Jason — for a warranty question, a service interval, or simply a second opinion — for as long as you own the watch.
When your watch is at service we will put another independent on your wrist, so the wrist is never empty.
