U-Boat does not pretend to be subtle. Out of Lucca, Italy, since 2000, Italo Fontana has carried a family design lineage from the 1940s into watches that are large, Italian and frank about wanting to be noticed. We carry the line because some of our clients want exactly that presence, and meeting that wish straight is more honest than steering them elsewhere.
The Darkmoon 44mm Red Glass SS/Rubber pairs a steel case with red-tinted glass over an oil-filled dial, the liquid sharpening legibility while the glass warms the read. A vulcanised rubber strap keeps it ready for everyday wear. One small choice of colour, and the whole face changes character.
Hand-finished, made to be serviced.
Hand-assembled, regulated, and finished to the manufacture’s own standard.
Servicing is organised through us and the manufacture, and the watch comes back to your wrist — with a loaner in the meantime.

Every watch we sell stays close to us. We organise servicing, source straps, and answer the telephone ourselves — for as long as the watch is yours, and the wrist after that.
When the time comes, we arrange the full service through U-Boat, handle the shipping both ways, and put a loaner on your wrist while you wait.
Replacement straps and bracelets at cost, in any material the manufacture offers, fitted in person at the bench.
You speak to Jason — for a warranty question, a service interval, or simply a second opinion — for as long as you own the watch.
When your watch is at service we will put another independent on your wrist, so the wrist is never empty.
