A choice we can defend in person.
Italian, oversized and entirely without apology: that is U-Boat, founded in Lucca in 2000 by Italo Fontana, whose family were drawing watch designs in the 1940s. It is a house that builds watches to be seen and is candid about the ambition. We hold a few because a portion of our clientele wants a wrist that speaks first, and we prefer to answer that plainly.
The Darkmoon 44mm Red Glass IPB places red glass over the oil-filled dial within an all-black IP case, the contrast of warm lens against dark body giving the watch unusual depth. The locking-ring system makes battery replacement quick. A study in how a single tinted element can recast a face.
Hand-finished, made to be serviced.
Hand-assembled, regulated, and finished to the manufacture’s own standard.

A relationship, not a transaction.
Every watch we sell stays close to us. We organise servicing, source straps, and answer the telephone ourselves — for as long as the watch is yours, and the wrist after that.
When the time comes, we arrange the full service through U-Boat and handle the shipping both ways.
Replacement straps and bracelets at cost, in any material the manufacture offers, fitted in person at the bench.
You speak to Jason — for a warranty question, a service interval, or simply a second opinion — for as long as you own the watch.
Hold it once. Turn it over.
A watch makes more sense in the hand than on a screen — particularly through the sapphire back. Book a viewing at 900 West Hastings St., Vancouver and we will put a loupe in your hand.
