Some watches are built to be seen, and U-Boat is candid that this is the brief. From Lucca, since 2000, Italo Fontana has drawn on his family's 1940s designs to make Italian watches of real scale and conviction. We hold a few because a small share of our clients want exactly that, and we prefer to meet them straight.
The Darkmoon 44mm Blue SS Soleil places a soleil-finished blue dial under the oil-filled steel case, the liquid intensifying the blue while the brushed rays catch the light. The locking-ring system keeps the battery change quick. A composed, cool face inside a watch that makes its presence felt.

Servicing is organised through us and the manufacture, and the watch comes back to your wrist — with a loaner in the meantime.

Every watch we sell stays close to us. We organise servicing, source straps, and answer the telephone ourselves — for as long as the watch is yours, and the wrist after that.
When the time comes, we arrange the full service through U-Boat, handle the shipping both ways, and put a loaner on your wrist while you wait.
Replacement straps and bracelets at cost, in any material the manufacture offers, fitted in person at the bench.
You speak to Jason — for a warranty question, a service interval, or simply a second opinion — for as long as you own the watch.
When your watch is at service we will put another independent on your wrist, so the wrist is never empty.
