U-Boat has worked out of Lucca since 2000, where Italo Fontana drew on a family design lineage reaching back to the 1940s. The house makes Italian watches that are large, declarative and entirely candid about it. We keep a U-Boat or two on the bench because a few of our clients want a watch that announces itself, and we would rather meet that honestly than talk them into something quieter.
The Darkmoon 44mm Black IP Bronze fills its case with a special oil that deepens the dial to a flatter, more intense black and lifts legibility. The IP bronze treatment warms the case, and the locking-ring system makes battery changes quick. A piece that reads its own face cleanly while keeping U-Boat's unmistakable heft.

Every watch we sell stays close to us. We organise servicing, source straps, and answer the telephone ourselves — for as long as the watch is yours, and the wrist after that.
When the time comes, we arrange the full service through U-Boat, handle the shipping both ways, and put a loaner on your wrist while you wait.
Replacement straps and bracelets at cost, in any material the manufacture offers, fitted in person at the bench.
You speak to Jason — for a warranty question, a service interval, or simply a second opinion — for as long as you own the watch.
When your watch is at service we will put another independent on your wrist, so the wrist is never empty.
