A choice we can defend in person.
U-Boat, made in Lucca since 2000 on Italo Fontana's family design lineage of the 1940s, builds large, Italian watches that openly want to be seen. A portion of our clients want that presence and ask for it directly, and we carry the house so we can meet them with conviction rather than redirect the request to something quieter.
The Classico U-47 Bronze uses uncoated bronze, a material that shifts naturally with time so each piece ages to its own face, on a strap made by ancient Florentine tanning techniques. Nothing about it stays fixed. A watch that becomes individual through wear, finished by hand.
Hand-finished, made to be serviced.
Hand-assembled, regulated, and finished to the manufacture’s own standard.
Servicing is organised through us and the manufacture, and the watch comes back to your wrist — with a loaner in the meantime.

A relationship, not a transaction.
Every watch we sell stays close to us. We organise servicing, source straps, and answer the telephone ourselves — for as long as the watch is yours, and the wrist after that.
When the time comes, we arrange the full service through U-Boat, handle the shipping both ways, and put a loaner on your wrist while you wait.
Replacement straps and bracelets at cost, in any material the manufacture offers, fitted in person at the bench.
You speak to Jason — for a warranty question, a service interval, or simply a second opinion — for as long as you own the watch.
When your watch is at service we will put another independent on your wrist, so the wrist is never empty.
Hold it once. Turn it over.
A watch makes more sense in the hand than on a screen — particularly through the sapphire back. Book a viewing at 900 West Hastings St., Vancouver and we will put a loupe in your hand.
