A choice we can defend in person.
U-Boat builds watches to be seen and is plain about it. From Lucca, since 2000, Italo Fontana has carried his family's 1940s designs into large, Italian, declarative pieces. We carry the house because a portion of our clients want exactly that presence, and we would rather meet the wish with conviction than offer something more restrained.
Presented at Geneva in 2024, the Chimera SS Blue is the time-only version of the new striped dial, the parallel lines lending the blue face depth and a three-dimensional play of light. New geometries, new grooves, all framed in U-Boat's full scale. A familiar silhouette made newly tactile.
Hand-finished, made to be serviced.
Hand-assembled, regulated, and finished to the manufacture’s own standard.
Servicing is organised through us and the manufacture, and the watch comes back to your wrist — with a loaner in the meantime.

A relationship, not a transaction.
Every watch we sell stays close to us. We organise servicing, source straps, and answer the telephone ourselves — for as long as the watch is yours, and the wrist after that.
When the time comes, we arrange the full service through U-Boat, handle the shipping both ways, and put a loaner on your wrist while you wait.
Replacement straps and bracelets at cost, in any material the manufacture offers, fitted in person at the bench.
You speak to Jason — for a warranty question, a service interval, or simply a second opinion — for as long as you own the watch.
When your watch is at service we will put another independent on your wrist, so the wrist is never empty.
Hold it once. Turn it over.
A watch makes more sense in the hand than on a screen — particularly through the sapphire back. Book a viewing at 900 West Hastings St., Vancouver and we will put a loupe in your hand.
