A choice we can defend in person.
U-Boat, founded in Lucca in 2000 by Italo Fontana on a 1940s family design lineage, has always built large, Italian, declarative watches and never apologised for them. A portion of our clients want presence above all, and we carry the house so we have an honest answer rather than a polite redirect to something quieter on the wrist.
The Capsoil Titanio DLC arrives in two limited editions of 150 pieces each, joining the oil-immersion concept to titanium, among the most resistant yet lightest of materials, under a black DLC finish. Oil-filled depth in a case that wears unexpectedly light. Presence without the heft you would assume.
Hand-finished, made to be serviced.
Hand-assembled, regulated, and finished to the manufacture’s own standard.
Servicing is organised through us and the manufacture, and the watch comes back to your wrist.

A relationship, not a transaction.
Every watch we sell stays close to us. We organise servicing, source straps, and answer the telephone ourselves — for as long as the watch is yours, and the wrist after that.
When the time comes, we arrange the full service through U-Boat and handle the shipping both ways.
Replacement straps and bracelets at cost, in any material the manufacture offers, fitted in person at the bench.
You speak to Jason — for a warranty question, a service interval, or simply a second opinion — for as long as you own the watch.
Hold it once. Turn it over.
A watch makes more sense in the hand than on a screen — particularly through the sapphire back. Book a viewing at 900 West Hastings St., Vancouver and we will put a loupe in your hand.
