A choice we can defend in person.
U-Boat makes watches to be noticed and is candid that this is the brief. From Lucca, since 2000, Italo Fontana has carried his family's 1940s designs into oversized, Italian pieces of conviction. A small portion of our clients want exactly that, and we carry the house so we can meet them honestly rather than offer a compromise.
The Capsoil Titanio comes in two limited editions of 150 pieces each, pairing the oil-immersion construction with titanium, one of the strongest and lightest materials there is. The oil gives the dial its deep, three-dimensional read while the titanium keeps the watch surprisingly light. Depth and lightness held in balance.
Hand-finished, made to be serviced.
Hand-assembled, regulated, and finished to the manufacture’s own standard.
Servicing is organised through us and the manufacture, and the watch comes back to your wrist — with a loaner in the meantime.

A relationship, not a transaction.
Every watch we sell stays close to us. We organise servicing, source straps, and answer the telephone ourselves — for as long as the watch is yours, and the wrist after that.
When the time comes, we arrange the full service through U-Boat, handle the shipping both ways, and put a loaner on your wrist while you wait.
Replacement straps and bracelets at cost, in any material the manufacture offers, fitted in person at the bench.
You speak to Jason — for a warranty question, a service interval, or simply a second opinion — for as long as you own the watch.
When your watch is at service we will put another independent on your wrist, so the wrist is never empty.
Hold it once. Turn it over.
A watch makes more sense in the hand than on a screen — particularly through the sapphire back. Book a viewing at 900 West Hastings St., Vancouver and we will put a loupe in your hand.
