A choice we can defend in person.
There is honesty in a watch that wants to be noticed and admits it, and U-Boat builds exactly that from Lucca, where Italo Fontana has worked since 2000 on a 1940s family design heritage. A portion of our clients want that presence, and we carry the house to meet them plainly rather than steer them toward something more demure.
The Capsoil Doppiotempo DLC sets the oil-immersion construction in a 45mm AISI 316L steel case with black DLC treatment, two crowns governing the time and the dual-time function through the internal rotating bezel. The DLC draws the whole watch into one deep tone. Oil-filled depth and a second zone, kept all in shadow.
Hand-finished, made to be serviced.
Hand-assembled, regulated, and finished to the manufacture’s own standard.
Servicing is organised through us and the manufacture, and the watch comes back to your wrist — with a loaner in the meantime.

A relationship, not a transaction.
Every watch we sell stays close to us. We organise servicing, source straps, and answer the telephone ourselves — for as long as the watch is yours, and the wrist after that.
When the time comes, we arrange the full service through U-Boat, handle the shipping both ways, and put a loaner on your wrist while you wait.
Replacement straps and bracelets at cost, in any material the manufacture offers, fitted in person at the bench.
You speak to Jason — for a warranty question, a service interval, or simply a second opinion — for as long as you own the watch.
When your watch is at service we will put another independent on your wrist, so the wrist is never empty.
Hold it once. Turn it over.
A watch makes more sense in the hand than on a screen — particularly through the sapphire back. Book a viewing at 900 West Hastings St., Vancouver and we will put a loupe in your hand.
