A choice we can defend in person.
There is honesty in a watch built to be seen, and U-Boat makes exactly that from Lucca, where Italo Fontana has worked since 2000 on a family heritage of 1940s design. A small share of our clients want that presence, and we keep a few pieces so we can answer them with conviction rather than steer them toward something more restrained.
The Capsoil Chrono SS immerses its chronograph electromechanics in an oil bath within a 45mm steel case, the liquid rendering the dial an absolute black, deep and three-dimensional, with a compensation bubble forever drifting across it. The locking-ring system simplifies battery changes. A chronograph you watch as much as read.
Hand-finished, made to be serviced.
Hand-assembled, regulated, and finished to the manufacture’s own standard.

A relationship, not a transaction.
Every watch we sell stays close to us. We organise servicing, source straps, and answer the telephone ourselves — for as long as the watch is yours, and the wrist after that.
When the time comes, we arrange the full service through U-Boat and handle the shipping both ways.
Replacement straps and bracelets at cost, in any material the manufacture offers, fitted in person at the bench.
You speak to Jason — for a warranty question, a service interval, or simply a second opinion — for as long as you own the watch.
Hold it once. Turn it over.
A watch makes more sense in the hand than on a screen — particularly through the sapphire back. Book a viewing at 900 West Hastings St., Vancouver and we will put a loupe in your hand.
