Pearls are the only material a jeweller cannot improve — only choose, match, and present. Every Palladio strand passes through the same two hands: ours and Utopia's, in Milan.
Pearls don't reward the bench the way a stone does. There is no recut, no polish, no facet. The work is the choosing and the matching — for orient, body, lustre and surface, against a single standard, by eye.
We match through Utopia in Milan, the only house we know that still does the long-form match — strand by strand, oyster batch by oyster batch, over months. Every strand we sell is knotted on linen, by hand, by Maria, who has been at our bench since 2009.
Three months minimum. South Sea, Akoya, Tahitian — sourced from our partner Utopia.
Knotted on raw linen, by hand, between every pearl. Maria has done every strand we have sold since 2009.
Free, for life. Bring it in any Tuesday-Saturday — done on the bench while you wait.
